Creativity or Stagnation

Stagnation

I have always been creative. I have interest in many things, from painting, crocheting, enbroiderying and other diy-ing. I steped into programmming while I was heading towards data science / data analytics during my post-graduate. I constantly think, how can I combine programing and creativity into one hobby. Then I found such a thing, website design and development. But it is just difficult if you have a day job and also still want to enjoy life. So my passion just got stagnated in the pile of work.

Creativity

But if this pandemie has taught me anything, it would be that we need to constantly learn and we can learn anything with persistence and determination. I want to mark this determination with this first post, that I am brushing up some HTML, CSS, Javascript and then on my way to React. On the illustration side, while improving skill on Procreate, I want to head to Affinity Designer for some vector designings, maybe who knows, later on the whole bunch of Adobe stuff.

Btw, i want to share with you one thing I learned today, of course among alot of other things. Well, it is not really new, I knew here and there a bit in pieces but I have not known this in a systematical way before. It is called "entity codes". It is meant for the special or reserved characters in HTML, symbols like ampersand, copywrite, trademark, currencies, math or emoji.

Entities are used to implement reserved characters or to express characters that cannot easily be entered with the keyboard.

We can display a character entity by &entityname; or &#entitynumber;

Here are some links to dig in further:

These are my favourite entities: ♥, 💗, ☕, 🌞, 🍺, 🎧, 🎨, 🍩. What are yours?
